We are proud to present one of our prominent engineering achievements at Faena Resort – Shura Island within The Red Sea Project, where the roofing was executed using an advanced multi-layer ETFE canopy system to deliver an exceptional visual and hospitality experience worthy of the world's most luxurious destinations.
Nature-Inspired Architectural Design: Innovative geometric configurations resembling flower petals, giving the project a unique aesthetic that seamlessly blends with the enchanting landscape of the Red Sea.
Integrated Dynamic Lighting System: Architectural membranes equipped with programmable, built-in multicolor lighting, transforming the structure into an illuminated masterpiece during the evening.
Superior Resistance to Coastal Environments: High-grade materials resistant to high humidity, marine salinity, and UV radiation without degrading or losing transparency.
The installation relies on advanced multi-layer ETFE cushions engineered with two distinct air cavities (upper and lower):
Upper Cavity: Mitigates direct solar radiation and significantly reduces surface heat buildup.
Lower Cavity: Maintains indoor coolness and enhances the energy efficiency of the resort's HVAC systems.
Summary: This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality, precision, and excellence in executing major tourism and architectural landmark projects across the Kingdom.
